The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Thursday night opened the finished segments of a promenade and light park along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City.
MMDA acting Chair Romando Artes led the inauguration of the first two segments of the Roxas Boulevard Promenade Light Park.
Area 1 or the field offices will house satellite offices of MMDA and the lot owner Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) to ensure proper management, operations, and maintenance of the promenade.

Adjacent to the satellite offices is Area 2, or the light park, which features various lighting installations.
Funds for the park were provided by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) through the “Green, Green, Green” Program.
The park is a joint project of the MMDA, DBM, PRA, the Pasay City local government, and private partner Federal Land Inc., which also led the groundbreaking rite for the remaining segments. —JEROME ANING
