A Cebu Pacific aircraft was stuck for several hours at the taxiway of Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on Friday, causing at least 13 international flights to be delayed.

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said the aircraft, an Airbus A321neo, swerved off taxiway G13 while being repositioned early in the morning by a towing vehicle from Bay 111 to Bay 122A at Terminal 3.

Photos released by the agency showed the plane’s left landing gear stuck in the muddy grass lot.

The MIAA aircraft recovery team and Cebu Pacific ground personnel extricated the plane from the taxiway at around 1:55 p.m.

There were no passengers or crew onboard at the time of the incident. —JEROME ANING
