Shabu worth P1.1M seized from high-value suspect in Rizal bust

LUCENA CITY — More than P1.1 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) was confiscated Monday from a big-time drug trafficker in Binangonan town in Rizal province.

Members of the local police drug enforcement unit caught “Vandolf” after he sold P7,000 worth of shabu to a poseur buyer in a buy-bust operation at 9:43 p.m. in Barangay Pagasa, the Police Regional Office 4-A said in a report on Tuesday, July 9.

Seized from Vandolf were at least 34 plastic sachets containing 170 grams of meth worth about P1,156,000 in the Dangerous Drugs Board valuation.

The operatives also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by Vandolf in his illegal activities.

Police tagged him as a high-value individual in the local drug trade.

Authorities were tracking the source of the shabu.

Vandolf was detained at the local police jail and is facing charges of violating anti-drugs law.
