MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather will prevail in most parts of the country on Thursday, although isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are possible, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio, in an early morning forecast, said the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will continue to affect Palawan, where rain showers and thunderstorms are expected.
“Samantala itong nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon, fair weather po tayo kung saan sa umaga makararanas ng maaliwalas na panahon pero sa hapon o gabi mataas ang tsansa na mabuo ang isang thunderstorm,” Aurelio said.
(The rest of Luzon will have fair weather, but thunderstorms are likely in the afternoon or evening.)
“Sa Visayas at Mindanao, fair weather po tayo kung saan makararanas tayo ng bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap ang kalangintan na may tsansa ng mga isolated na pag-ulan dahil sa mga thunderstorms,” he added.

No weather disturbance is being monitored in and around the Philippine area of responsibility, Pagasa added.
