3 arrested, including cop, for illegally selling firearms in Taguig
MANILA, Philippines — Three suspects, including a police officer, were arrested in an entrapment operation for illegally selling firearms, the Southern Police District (SPD) said on Wednesday.
The operation was conducted by the SPD Special Operations Unit on Tuesday along Acacia Street, Cembo, Taguig City.

It resulted in the apprehension of alias Bobby Lewis, a 28-year-old woman, alias John, 34, and alias Gary, a 34-year-old police officer.
According to the SPD, the operation was initiated based on information from a regular confidential informant who reported the illegal activities of alias Bobby Lewis and the two others in Makati City and Taguig City.
Authorities confiscated the following evidence during the operation:

- One Rifle Defense M16 First SAMCO Modified Color with serial number RP122190 loaded with 30 live ammunition
- One Glock 17 Gen 4 with serial number AFP058637 with an Armed Forces of the Philippines logo loaded with 17 live ammunition
- One Arms Moravia Czech Republic with serial number 613319 loaded with 10 live ammunition
- One tennis bag used during the transaction
- One Yamaha NMAX motorcycle without a plate number
- Three mobile phones of the arrested suspects
- One Philippine National Police identification card under the name of alias Gary
The SPD also noted that alias Gary had previously been arrested in 2021 for alarm and scandal.

The three suspects, along with the evidence gathered, were brought to the District Special Operations Unit Office for documentation.
They are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.”
