P374,000 shabu seized from ‘high value’ suspect in Angeles City
ANGELES CITY — The city police’s drug enforcement unit arrested a suspected drug peddler who allegedly yielded some P374,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday in Lourdes Northwest village in this city.
Colonel Amado Mendoza Jr., city police director, said in a statement on Wednesday, July 3, that the operation happened at 12:15 a.m. beside the Angeles City Water District building along Pampang Road.
Mendoza identified the arrested suspect only as alias “Ray,” a resident of Mabalacat City.

He said anti-illegal drugs operatives, along with police station 2 personnel, arrested the suspect after he sold a sachet of shabu to a poseur-buyer who used marked money in the transaction.
Article continues after this advertisementAllegedly confiscated from the suspect were 55 grams of shabu, the marked P1,000 bill, and nine pieces of “boodle” (play) money.
The suspect faces charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
