2 earthquakes hit Quezon island town
LUCENA CITY, QUEZON, Philippines – Two successive earthquakes of tectonic origin were recorded in the island town of Jomalig in Quezon province early Tuesday night, July 2.
The Philippine Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said a magnitude of 4.2 earthquake was logged 55 kilometers northeast at 7:32 p.m. with a 10-km depth of focus.

A slightly mild earthquake with a magnitude of 3.5 was also recorded in the island at 7:23 p.m.
The tremor hit 61-km northeast of the municipality with depth of 24 kilometer.
