MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. distributed P288.41 million in cash aid to select local government units in Visayas.
Marcos has been traveling across the country to distribute various government assistance to farmers, fisherfolk, and indigent families.
“Magtiwala po kayo na sisikapin namin na maabot ang ating mga liblib at malalayong pamayanan sa bawat sulok ng bansa, nang sa gayon ay walang maiiwanan,” he said in a speech Thursday.

According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the cash aid was as follows:
- Provincial government of Antique: P50 million
- Provincial government of Iloilo: P50 million
- Provincial government of Guimaras: P28.41 million
- Provincial government of Capiz: P50 million
- Provincial government of Aklan: P50 million

The local government units likewise received seeds, farming equipment, and boats, among others, the PCO added.
Marcos also made a stop in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, where he gave additional cash aid to:
- City Government of Bacolod: P10 million
- Provincial Government of Negros Occidental: P50 million
