Marcos to lead distribution of land titles, cash assistance to farmers in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY — President Marcos Jr. will lead in the distribution Friday of assistance and land titles to farmers from different areas in the Bicol region.

Marcos will first visit Fuerte Sports Complex in Pili town in Camarines Sur to distribute 2,115 Certificates of Land Ownership Award, covering 3,328 hectares of agricultural land in the region.

Thousands of farmers from Albay, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, and Masbate also gathered at Albay Astrodome in Legazpi City in Albay province to receive more than P642.7 million worth of intervention for farmers and fishermen affected by El Niño.

The beneficiaries will receive P50 million in financial assistance through the Department of Social Welfare and Development Bicol’s Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program.

The 1,188 residents from 13 villages in Legazpi City gathered at Bagumbayan Covered Court will also receive P4.7 million in emergency employment assistance through the Department of Labor and Employment. INQ
