Pagasa predicts thunderstorms on Tuesday in some places in Luzon

MANILA, Philippines—The state weather bureau said some areas in Metro Manila, as well as Northern and Southern Luzon, may experience thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the 1:56 pm thunderstorm advisory of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds may affect the following areas within the next two hours:

Pagasa noted that as of the advisory’s issuance, thunderstorms were affecting portions of Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and Quezon.

This condition may last up to two hours and can extend to nearby areas.

It likewise cautioned the public from weather-related dangers.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards, which include flash floods and landslides,” Pagasa added.
