LUCENA CITY — A newborn baby was found abandoned in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas, on Monday, June 24, police said.
A Region 4A police report on Tuesday showed that a resident found the baby girl around 2 p.m. near an deserted house in Barangay (village) Sta. Anastacia.
The infant was immediately taken to the city health clinic for medical attention.

The report did not provide information on the condition of the baby when found except that she weighs 2 and a half kilos.
The police are reviewing security camera footage in the area to identify the person or people behind the dumping of the infant.
