Armed men rob NFA office, convenience store in Pampanga

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Three men armed with handguns broke into the National Food Authority (NFA) Pampanga office in the City of San Fernando on Thursday, June 20, and stole an undetermined amount of cash.

The police reported on Friday, June 21, that the armed men poked guns at the security guard, took his service firearm, and tied him using his shoelaces to rob the NFA provincial office at Sindalan village between 1:40 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.

Initial investigation showed that the robbers entered the building through its unlocked backdoor.

The trio forced open three vaults inside the storage room and took away undetermined cash.

At 4 a.m. on the same day, two men armed with handguns also robbed the 7-Eleven convenience store in Del Rosario village, also in the capital city. Del Rosario is adjacent to Sindalan.

A police report said the robbers also poked their guns at the security guard and took his service firearm. They then tied the guard and a customer and brought them to the storage room.

The robbers then forcibly opened a vault using tools and took an undetermined amount of money.

Police are conducting a follow-up investigation, including reviews of closed-circuit television camera footage of establishments near the NFA and convenience store.
