MANILA, Philippines — Metro Manila and other areas in Luzon may experience rains on Friday noon, the state weather bureau said.
According to the thunderstorm advisory of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) at 10:45 am, moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds were expected over Rizal, Metro Manila, Cavite, Bulacan, Zambales, Bataan, and Pampanga.

The rains may occur within two hours from the issuance of the advisory, Pagasa said.
Pagasa added that as of the issuance, rains were experienced over Quezon, Batangas, and Laguna areas.
The agency also warned people to take safety measures against untoward incidents in rainy weather.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards, which include flash floods and landslides,” it added.
