P408,000 shabu, gun seized from 2 suspects in Cavite

LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics agents arrested on Tuesday two “high-value” drug traffickers and seized shabu (crystal meth) worth P408,000 and an illegal firearm in Bacoor City, Cavite province.

City drug enforcement members held “Christian” and “Chris Joy” at 1:45 a.m. after they sold P500 worth of shabu to a poseur buyer in a transaction in Barangay Habay 1, the Region 4A police reported.

The police seized from the suspects eight sachets containing meth weighing 60 grams worth P408,000.

During the routine frisking, the operatives found Christian carrying an undocumented caliber .38 revolver loaded with one bullet.

Both suspects are “high-value individuals” in the local drug trade, the report stated.

The suspects were detained and will face a complaint of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Christian will be charged with another case for possession of an illegal firearm.
