MANILA, Philippines — On the significant occasion of Philippine Independence Day, Sam “SV” Verzosa launched a series of initiatives to support the people of Sampaloc.
As the program host of the public service program Dear SV, Verzosa donated 17 brand new multi-purpose vehicles, referred to as “Serbisyo Vans,” to the 17 zones of Sampaloc. These vans are intended for various uses, including transportation, emergency response, and delivery of essential social services.
In addition to these versatile vehicles, party-list Rep. Verzosa also donated specialized trucks that are called SV Mobile Clinics, carrying medical equipment like x-ray, ultrasound, laboratory testing and ECG. These mobile clinics are also used for general check-up and medical consultations for various communities.

As a devout Catholic, Verzosa began the day’s activities with a mass, followed by the blessing of the vehicles. He personally guided media representatives on a tour of the mobile clinics and mobile pharmacy, demonstrating the full operational capabilities of the vehicles and their potential to enhance healthcare delivery in Manila.
Moreover, Verzosa launched the “Free Maintenance Medicine Program” and organized a medical mission to provide much-needed healthcare services to the residents of Sampaloc, effectively utilizing the new mobile clinics and mobile pharmacy.
He also distributed wheelchairs to senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs), further demonstrating his dedication to improving the quality of life for all his kababayans in Manila.
Verzosa’s long-time girlfriend Rhian Ramos, who was also present in the event, showed her support and even facilitated the giving of medicines.
The initiative underscores SV’s ongoing commitment to addressing the needs of the community through practical and accessible solutions. These are also the request of the people of Sampaloc through his social media platforms. The provision of the Serbisyo Vans and mobile clinics represents a significant step towards enhancing the overall welfare of the residents of Sampaloc.
“Hindi posisyon ang nagtulak sa akin na gawin ang lahat ng ito.”, SV explained. “Lahat ng ito ay ginagawa ko dahil sa pagmamahal ko sa mga kababayan ko sa Sampaloc. Lagi ninyong tatandaan na magpaka tatag dahil madami padin ang may puso na tumulong at laging may Pag-asa..”
(Position didn’t push me to do all of this. I do all of this out of my love for my fellow citizens in Sampaloc. Always remember to stay strong because there are still many who have hearts to help, and there is always hope.)
