Marcos tells Congress to create and pass more inclusive bills

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday urged lawmakers to craft and pass more inclusive and people-based policies.
Marcos said this after he signed the Negros Island Region and the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act in the Malacañan Palace.

“To our fellow workers in both the houses of Congress, I implore that before the year ends: That laws which are more inclusive, responsive, and people-centered to be passed. And we are deep in discussion about that,” Marcos told lawmakers present in the Palace.
“Our people are eagerly awaiting the passage of the 17 priority bills certified by Ledac (Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council)—which we will be discussing very, very soon—which if passed and enacted, will steer our national development and improve the conditions of our fellow countrymen,” added the President.
Marcos said he expected to work closely with Congress for the passage of the Ledac measures.
