WANTED MAN FALLS
A MAN wanted for double-murder charges in Zamboanga del Sur was arrested in barangay Luhod, Barili town, Cebu.
Police said a .38 revolver was recovered for Genovevo Gemillian, 44, during the arrest last Wednesday noon.
Members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas (CIDG-7) arrested Gemillian while he was walking home.
A warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Edilberto Absin based in San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur, was used in the arrest.
Gemillian has been a tanod for a year in Luhod.

DRUG BUST NETS ONE
A MAN was arrested in an illegal drug buy-bust operation in barangay Pasil, Cebu City, last Monday night.
Gilcen Cañete of barangay Ermita, Cebu City, allegedly sold a pack of suspected shabu to an agent of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7), who posed as a buyer.
Cañete refused to comment on his arrest.
Jessie Tabanao, assistant information officer of the PDEA-7, said Cañete is believed to be a runner of a big-time drug pusher based in barangay Pasil.

ABDUCTION suspect nabbed
AN EATERY owner was arrested after he was implicated in the abduction of a 16-year-old boy in barangay Cansojong, Talisay City , southern Cebu.
Talisay police arrested Trani Valente, 34, last Tuesday afternoon in his carenderia in barangay Tabunok.
After the arrest, Valente was brought to the hospital where the boy was confined. The victim identified Valente as the one who drove the multicab where he was forced to board last Tuesday dawn, said police.
Police said a certain Tito Arevalo Jr. was identified as the one who tied the boy’s hands with a wire.
The boy told police that he was forced to board a multicab. The boy said his abductors forced her to admit to a robbery.
The boy was shot in the back before his abductors dumped him by the road.
Police said the abductors could be robbery victims who tried to exact revenge./CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL C. BONJOC
