Magnitude 5.1 earthquake hits Palawan

MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck Palawan on Tuesday, the state seismology bureau said.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the epicenter of the quake was located east of Roxas, Palawan.

The tectonic earthquake had a depth of focus of 26 kilometers, Phivolcs added.
Intensity III was felt in Roxas, Palawan, while Intensity I was felt in Cuyo and Narra, also in Palawan.

No damages were expected after the earthquake, but aftershocks may occur.
