LTFRB issues show cause order vs driver who body-shamed passenger
MANILA, Philippines — A show cause order has been issued by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) against a jeepney driver who allegedly body-shamed a passenger.
The driver of the vehicle with plate number NWJ 221, registered under Flora Magtibay and Romeo Guerroro of Double A Transport Corporation, was summoned to appear for a hearing at the LTFRB office scheduled for June 14 at 2:30 p.m.

“Failure on your part to appear before this Board on the date mentioned above shall be considered a waiver on your part to be heard, and this case shall be decided on the basis of the evidence presented and the records of the Board,” the order dated June 10 and released on Tuesday read.
In a viral TikTok video posted on June 8, complainant Joysh Gutierrez claimed that the driver of the jeepney shouted at her, asking her to get out of the vehicle.

“Bigla nalang sinabi ng driver na dapat daw akong bumaba. ‘Bawal daw ang mataba sa jeep niya,’ sabi niya,” she said.
