Some roads in San Juan will be closed to traffic due to procession

The local government of San Juan City said on Saturday that some roads will be closed on Sunday afternoon for the holding of a procession of the city's patron saint.

MANILA, Philippines — The local government of San Juan City said on Saturday that some roads will be closed on Sunday afternoon for the holding of a procession of the city’s patron saint.

The local government said rerouting will be implemented when the procession of the image of St. John the Baptist starts.

“Notice is hereby given to the public that portion from F. Blumentritt St. corner A. Bonifacio St. to F. Blumentritt St. corner M. Salvador and J. Arellano St. to Dr. A. Ejercito St. will be closed temporarily from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to give way for the Traslacion of the 130-year old Image of St. John the Baptist,” it said in a Facebook post.

Authorities likewise recommended the following alternate routes:
