MANILA, Philippines — The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine area of responsibility may bring rain over northern Luzon on Wednesday, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
According to Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja, high chances of overcast skies and rain may occur due to the LPA‘s trough in Cagayan, Isabela, Batanes, Aurora, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra and Ilocos Norte.
“Makulimlim na panahon pa rin ang iiral diyan bukas at aasahan pa rin po ang kalat kalat na pagulan at thunderstorms kaya magingat sa posibleng pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa,” he said in Pagasa’s latest forecast on Tuesday afternoon.
(Overcast weather will still prevail there tomorrow and scattered rain and thunderstorms are still expected so be careful of possible flooding and landslides.)

In western Mindanao, specifically, Zamboanga Peninsula and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao, the effects of habagat may also be felt.
