Did you know: Girl Scouts of the Philippines

The Girl Scouts of the Philippines, which was established by Josefa Llanes Escoda in Manila, was chartered in May 1940 through Commonwealth Act No. 542 signed by then President Manuel L. Quezon. Shortly after its creation, the GSP temporarily stopped its formal operations after World War II broke out. However, the group, led by Escoda, became active in underground operations.
