Over P1.1M drugs seized in single week operations in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY – The Bicol police recovered more than P1.1 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) and marijuana from 44 drug personalities, who were arrested in a series of operations from May 20 to 26.

Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Bicol police, said in a report on Thursday, May 30, that 174.97 grams of shabu and 8.70 grams of marijuana were recovered in 41 operations in the six provinces.

Calubaquib said the biggest confiscation was recorded in Masbate province which amounted to P716,000 worth of illegal drugs.

The suspects were charged for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
