PCG suspends sea travel in Quezon, Romblon, Marinduque due to Aghon
LUCENA CITY — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) suspended sea travel on Saturday, May 25, for all vessels in Quezon, Marinduque, and Romblon provinces due to rough seas brought by Tropical Depression Aghon.
In its 8 a.m. bulletin on Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) hoisted Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) number 1 along the path of Aghon that included Quezon, eastern portion of Marinduque (Sta. Cruz and Torrijos towns) and eastern portion of Romblon (Cajidiocan, Magdiwang, San Fernando and Romblon towns).
“The waves on coastal waters may gradually develop and become bigger and higher,” Pagasa warned.

The PCG-District Southern Tagalog, in its advisory, reminded all sea vessels in the provinces “to take precautionary measures and be extra vigilant in the movement of typhoon if deemed to be affected by said weather disturbance.”
The PCG-DST said it would lift the suspension order once the weather and sea conditions improve.
