Pia said Maricel and her parents didn’t notice Rolando following them while they walked towards their home located one kilometer away from the Mantalongon public market.

Maricel said she and Rolando were separated for about a year because Rolando maltreated and mauled her.

The couple got married and lived in Guihulngan, Negros Oriental, for seven years and had five children.

Pia said the couple signed an agreement at the barangay hall in Guihulngan stating that Rolando will no longer maul Maricel or else a case will be filed against him.
