MANILA, Philippines — Graduating elementary and high school students in public schools in Marikina City will have less to worry about their graduation expenses as their local government announced that they will not have to pay anything for their graduation.
According to a Facebook post of the Marikina City Public Information Office on Wednesday, the local government will handle all graduation expenses.

“Ipinapatupad ang no graduation fee collection sa lahat ng mababa at mataas na pampublikong paaralan dito sa Marikina,” the post said.
(The no graduation fee collection rule is being implemented in all public elementary and high schools here in Marikina.)
(Nothing will need to be paid or contributed, nor will there be expenses to be worried about when graduating. Graduating is free because the local government will pay all related costs.)

The page likewise said that Marikina Mayor Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro will sponsor a free toga rental and free graduation photos for all graduating students.
(To ensure your graduation will be more special, I will sponsor a free toga rental and graduation picture-taking. Keep these memories with you and celebrate full of love, happiness, and hope.)
