The two arrested, along with Padilla, are members of a gun-for-hire group and the suspects directly involved in the shooting, according to Fajardo.

She likewise revealed that Padilla may only be the person who can identify Captain Nanad, tagged as the attack’s mastermind, who was reportedly a former barangay chairman with drug complaints before the National Bureau of Investigation.

Police said the attack resulted in the death of Abiad’s nephew and injured two of his relatives and a bystander.
