LUCENA CITY — A government lotto operator was shot and killed after being robbed on Tuesday, May 14, in Imus City, Cavite.

The Region 4A police reported on Wednesday, May 15, that Anthony Carrasco and his live-in partner “Margarita Joy” were walking towards their vehicle at around 9:30 a.m. after visiting their lotto outlet in Barangay Malagasang 2-F.

Right after the couple boarded their Toyota Hilux, an unidentified male armed with a handgun suddenly boarded the vehicle and declared a hold-up.

The suspect robbed them of P12,000 and suddenly shot Carrasco. The assailant fled after the shooting.

Margarita Joy sought help from bystanders, who took Carrasco to the hospital, but he died on the way.

The police are conducting further investigations to identify the assailant.
