MANILA, Philippines — In observance of Mother’s Day, House Speaker Martin Romualdez expressed his gratitude to his wife, Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez, mother and all moms, whose efforts, according to him, are the backbone of each family.

“Today, we celebrate the irreplaceable women in our lives — our Nanays, Lolas and Inas. Each plays a unique and pivotal role, and their impact resonates deeply within our society,” he said in a statement on Sunday.

“To every Filipino mother who gracefully manages the demands of life while ensuring our homes are filled with warmth, your efforts are the backbone of our families,” he noted.

“Your presence is a constant source of comfort and an endless source of inspiration,” he added.
