SORSOGON CITY — More than P6 million worth of illegal drugs were seized by police in the Bicol region from their month-long anti-drug operations in April.
Brigadier General Andre Perez Dizon, Bicol police chief, said in a report on Tuesday, May 7, that 906.6470 grams of shabu (crystal meth) and 53.1900 grams of marijuana worth around P6,171,583 were confiscated through the region-wide campaign against illegal drugs in this period.
Dizon also reported the arrest of 122 illegal drug offenders, composed of 15 high-value targets and 107 street-level targets.

The report said 89 drug suspects were captured through buy-bust operations, while 13 were arrested with warrants for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Nine suspects were also arrested through search warrants, while six were apprehended through other police operations.
“Together, we stand united in our efforts to create a safer and drug-free environment for all Bicolanos,” said Dizon as he urged the community to continue to support the fight against illegal drugs by the Bicol police.
