3 held for illegal drugs, gun in Bicol

In the Bicol region, four people are arrested over illegal drugs and gun

LEGAZPI CiTY — Authorities arrested three suspected drug personalities and recovered more than P73,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and a gun in separate buy-bust operations on Monday and Tuesday, May 29 and 30, in Albay and Camarines Sur provinces.

In Polangui town in Albay, Norlito Periabras, 53, was arrested around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, in Barangay La Purisima.

Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said they confiscated a .38 gun, P500 boodle money, and 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000.

In Naga City in Camarines Sur, Tirso Vibar, 42, and Francisco Galvez, 26, were arrested in separate operations around 9:30 p.m. on Monday in Barangay Concepcion Pequeña.

Calubaquib said authorities recovered two sachets of shabu worth P5,440, aluminum foil, and other drug tools from Vibar’s house.

They were facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
