SORSOGON CITY — The Philippine National Police in Sorsogon province seized more than P350,000 worth of illegal drugs during its monthlong anti-drug operations in April.
Colonel Dionesio Laceda, Sorsogon Police director, said in a report Saturday, May 4, that their five operations in April yielded 51.6728 grams of shabu (crystal meth) and 2.167 grams of marijuana worth P351,635.
The police arrested five illegal drug offenders in the province during this period, Laceda said.
The Sorsogon police also held 10 most wanted persons and 52 other wanted persons during their 62 operations.

Also arrested were 34 persons involved in illegal gambling.
The Sorsogon police also arrested two illegal gun holders and confiscated two loose firearms. Twelve persons surrendered, according to the report.
In March, the province reported the seizure of P13.8 million worth of illegal drugs from its seven operations, which resulted in the arrest of 12 suspects.
