A photo exhibit by AboitizLand will be among the attractions in this year’s Gabii sa Kabilin heritage tour dubbed as Handurawan sa karaang Sugbo.
With the heritage of Cebu monument as its backdrop, AboitizLand will transform Mabini Street on May 25 with its photo exhibit titled “Kabag-uhan: Now and then photo exhibit year 2.”
Old pictures of heritage sites from the collection of AboitizLand’s chief executive officer Andoni Aboitiz and Lucy Urgello-Miller will be placed together with the winning images of 2011 and 2012 Kabag-uhan: Now and Then photo contest.
The Cebu Trivia Night opens at 7 p.m., challenging triviaholics’ knowledge about the Queen City of the South.
The grueling battle is open to all Cebuanos and Cebuanos at heart.
The AboitizLand heritage show will turn the evening into an amazing experience in entertainment and storytelling as it did last year.
Ka Bino Guerrero, tour interpreter, will explain to the tour participants the rich history of Cebu’s streetscapes and landscapes.
A food festival will cap off the evening activity, offering guests with gastronomic treat.
AboitizLand’s participation in Gabii Sa Kabilin 2012 is in line with the company’s effort to nurture the Cebuano culture and heritage.
An annual event of the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc.’s Cultural Heritage Program, Gabii sa Kabilin is a recipient of the Anvil Award of Merit for Public Relations Program—Sustained Basis: Arts and Culture/Heritage/Tourism.
