An authority of the Supreme Court on the Dangerous Drugs Law has released anew a book on political law.
Lawyer Clarence Paul Oaminal, guest lecturer of the Philippine Judicial Academy and of the University of the Philippines Law Center, has released the book Philippine Political Law.
The book discusses the present and past constitutions and legal documents of the nation’s history.
It starts with the 1897 Biak na Bato Constitution followed by the 1899 Malolos Constitution and the organic laws imposed by the Americans after the country was sold by Spain via the Treaty of Paris.
The book can be used as reference for students in political law. The book is Oaminal’s tribute to the framers of the constitution and to all the past members of the Philippine constitutions.
Oaminal’s other books are Textbook on the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Human Security Act of 2007, Compendium on Arrest, Search and Seizure, Special Penal Laws, Criminal Law Manual for PNP Officers, The Revised Rules on Criminal Procedure and Criminal Law I and II.
