The Lion Tiger Aerosol-University of San Jose-Recoletos  put an end to the undefeated run of Prime Asia-University of the Visayas  as the Jaguars emerged victorious, 79-72, in the main game of the Sunday playdate of the 6th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. Partner’s Cup at the Cebu Coliseum.

The USJ-R-powered Lion Tiger leaned on its grit and shooting and took advantage of the lack of manpower of the UV-manned Prime Asia to hack out its fifth win in seven games.

Prime Asia, which dropped to 6-1 (win-loss),  played with just four players in the second canto as wingman Francisco Arong was suspended for one game after he was ejected in their match against Kia Motors-Cebu Institute of Technology University  last Saturday.

James Regalado led Lion Tiger’s attack with 17 markers while Abulaiz Suliman contributed 14. Jayson Olbedado chipped in 12 points.

Lion Tiger will try to finish out their elimination round campaign on a high note as they take on the San Marino Corned Tuna-University of Southern Philippines Foundation Panthers today.

Prime Asia got 14 from Wowie Escosio. Prime Asia tries to get back on the winning track today when they face off against the Gaisano Tisa-University of Cebu Webmasters.
