Blackwater, RnW Pacific Pipes eye seats to D-League quarterfinals

The Blackwater Sports Elite and the RnW Pacific Pipes aim to nab seats to the quarterfinals when they take on different rivals in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the San Juan gym.

The Elite (3-4) take on winless Cagayan Rising Suns at 2 p.m. while the Steel Masters face the Jr. Powerade Tigers at 4 p.m.

Blackwater lost its last two games but hopes to snap the skid against the Rising Suns, who are still seeking their breakthrough win.

Pacific Pipes (3-4) is also coming off from a disappointing loss against Cebuana Lhuillier but is expected to dominate the Jr. Tigers, who have lost their last five games and sixth overall in eight starts.

Both Jr. Powerade and Cagayan Rising Suns are out of the running for a playoff spot. Correspondent Jonas Panerio
