OLONGAPO CITY – Policemen in Central Luzon deployed 100 vehicles to aid commuters amid the ongoing three-day nationwide transportation strike.
According to the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), free rides were offered, especially during peak commuting hours.
The PRO3 said it also deployed 3,466 police personnel to ensure public safety throughout this period.

Brig. Gen. Jose Hildago Jr., PRO3 director, said no major transport groups in the region joined the strike.
Hildago also expressed his gratitude for the cooperation of transport operators in Central Luzon, recognizing their support for government initiatives and efforts to prevent transportation disruptions within the region.
The three-day transport strike was aimed at opposing the government’s public utility vehicle modernization program. INQ
