7,188 schools implemented alternative delivery modes on Thursday — DepEd

The Department of Education (DepEd) on Monday said several cities and municipalities opted for alternative methods of delivering classes and suspended in-person classes due to sweltering hot weather conditions.

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Education (DepEd) said that 7,188 schools in the country have implemented alternative delivery modes (ADM) for their classes on Thursday.

ADM refers to other methods such as online synchronous or asynchronous classes, or learning modules that are distributed for students to work on.

Over the past weeks, some regions have ordered the implementation of ADM, or the suspension of classes due to the high heat index felt throughout the country.

Most schools that have implemented ADM on Thursday came from Region 3 with 1,765, while Region 13 only had one school that implemented ADM.
