MANILA, Philippines — Fire broke out anew in a residential area in Parola Compound, Manila, the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said on Tuesday.
Based on its initial report, the blaze was declared under the first and second alarms at 12:21 p.m.

The blaze was immediately raised to the third alarm at 12:24 p.m. but firefighters declared it under control at 12:53 p.m.
The flames were declared “out” at 1:32 p.m.
The Bureau of Fire Protection has yet to release a report on the fire.
Last April 12, a fire also engulfed houses in Gate 52, San Nicolas district in Parola Compound.

The fire lasted for an hour and 40 minutes. Five individuals suffered minor injuries.
