MANILA, Philippines — A graduate of a Cebu college topped the April 2024 Physicians Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) announced on Thursday.
According to the PRC, Christopher Niño Mendoza of the Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine Inc. was the topnotcher for the batch with an 89.25 percent rating.

Mendoza was one of the 1,906 passers out of 3,434 examinees who took the tests on April 7, 8, 14, and 15.
Meanwhile, Mendoza was followed by Edison Ong from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) who scored an 89.08 rating at second, and Raian Isabelo Suyu at third from the Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation with an 88.83 rating.

Two schools were named as the batch’s top-performing schools: the University of the East – Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center with a percentage passed of 89.23 percent, and UST with a percentage passed of 84.85 percent.
The PRC also added that the date and venue for the oath-taking ceremony of the successful examinees will be announced at a later date.
