BARMM police offer P100,000 reward for MSSD officer killers

Police in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao has offered a P100,000 reward for those who could provide information leading to the identification and arrest of the gunman who shot dead a mid level executive of the Ministry of Social Services and Development in Maguindanao del Norte Wednesday night.

COTABATO CITY — Police authorities in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PRO-BARMM) has offered a P100,000 reward for those who could provide information leading to the identification and arrest of the gunman who shot dead a mid level executive of the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) in Maguindanao del Norte Wednesday night.

Brigadier General Prexy Tanggawohn, BARMM police regional director, also condemned the attack against three women employees of MSSD in Maguindanao del Norte that left Christhia Angela Aragoncillof, the MSSD Maguindanao del Norte logistics management officer, dead and one of her two co-workers hurt.

Aragoncillo, 27, was a resident of Cotabato City, was driving a white Toyota Veloz car with her two officemates on board when attacked by a gunman on a motorcycle in Barangay Broce, Datu Odin Sinsuat town at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 17. The three MSSD employees just left the MSSD Maguindanao del Norte field office in Barangay Semba and were on their way home when attacked.

“The PRO BAR extends our deepest condolences to the bereaved family of the victim. We stand in solidarity with the families of the victims throughout this difficult period. Hence, PRO BAR is fully committed to swiftly identifying and apprehending the perpetrators behind this incident,” Tanggawohn said.

Tanggawohn also directed Colonel Salman Sapal to conduct a thorough investigation into the killing of Aragoncillo and ordered an intensive manhunt operation against the perpetrator.

“We also appeal to the public to join forces with the PNP and other government authorities in our pursuit to bring justice to the families of the victims,” Tanggawon said.
