P430,000 worth of kush, shabu seized in Rizal

LUCENA CITY, Quezon, Philippines – Police arrested four suspected drug pushers and seized more than P430,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and kush, or high-grade marijuana, on Tuesday and Wednesday (April 16 and 17) in separate buy-bust operations in Rizal province.

In a report, the Calabarzon Police Regional Office (PRO 4A) said police officers in Taytay town chanced upon a group of gamblers engaged in cara y cruz (coin toss) in Barangay San Juan around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The cops arrested three suspects identified only as Mohaimen, Nardo, and Weng, while others managed to escape.

Earlier, anti-illegal drug operatives in Antipolo City collared “Bador” after he sold a pack of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Mayamot around 10:50 p.m.

The suspect, classified as a high-value individual or ‘HVI’ in the illegal drugs trade, was found in possession of 100 grams of kush worth P150,000 inside two plastics and another three plastics containing dried marijuana leaves weighing 920 grams and was valued at P110,400.

Authorities also seized a mobile phone, which will be examined for records of drug transactions.

All suspects are under police custody and will face a formal complaint for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
