MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday warned the public against a video that is falsely using the name of Secretary Teodoro Herbosa.

The video spread on various social media platforms, claiming that the DOH had donated a substantial sum to a project meant to find a cure for prostatitis.

“The DOH clarifies that none of the allegations stated in the video are true and the  purported interview with the official has been maliciously edited,” said the department.

According to the DOH, criminal charges may be filed should such posts continue to persist.

It also reminded the public to only source health information from legitimate sources and platforms such as the DOH’s official social media handles.
