Rizal, Laguna busts yield shabu worth P1M from 7 suspects
LUCENA CITY — Seven suspected drug traffickers were arrested on Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13, and yielded more than P1 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) in separate police operations in Rizal and Laguna provinces.
The Region 4A police said in a report that the members of the drug enforcement unit in San Mateo, Rizal arrested at 1:21 a.m. Saturday “Jammil”, “Butchoy,” and “Eric” after they sold shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Maly.
The suspects yielded 15 plastic sachets containing meth weighing 55 grams worth P374,000 and a digital weighing scale, an indication that they are into drug pushing.
Earlier, the same police team also held “Melvin” and “Christian” in Barangay Malanday at 8:40 p.m. on Friday.

The law enforcers seized nine sachets of meth worth P374,000, a digital weighing scale, and a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug business.
In the three operations, the police seized three mobile phones, which will be examined for records of drug transactions.

Menchi, Jammil, Melvin, and Christian were classified as high-value individuals n the illegal drugs trade, the report said.
All arrested suspects are under police custody and face charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
