MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday instructed the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to streamline services to land reform beneficiaries.
Marcos led the distribution of more than 4,700 Certificates of Land Ownership Awards and Electronic Titles to agrarian reform beneficiaries in Bago city, Negros Occidental.

“Inaatasan ko ang DAR na palakasin pa ang pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno upang suriing mabuti at madaliin ang pagtukoy sa mga benepisyaryo upang mapakinabangan na agad ang mga lupang sakahan na ito,” said Marcos in his speech.
(I ordered the DAR to strengthen its cooperation with other government agencies to research and speed up the determination of the beneficiaries so that they can already make use of the land.)

Marcos also said farming assistance should be given to beneficiaries.
According to the Palace, more than 4,000 land titles were distributed.
Beneficiaries from the northern part of Negros Occidental received over 2,800 land titles while more than 1,8000 titles were given to beneficiaries in the southern part.
Furthermore, the President also noted that P69 million worth of assistance in the form of farming necessities were handed out.
