Pagasa: Fair weather stays in most of PH despite possible rains
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said generally fair weather conditions would continue for most areas of the country even if there are chances of isolated rains or localized thunderstorms on Saturday.
Weather specialist Daniel James Villamil likewise said during Saturday’s early morning public report of Pagasa that parts of Mindanao will experience overcast skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms this April 6 due to the easterlies.
Specifically, the easterlies would cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Davao and Soccsksargen regions, Zamboanga del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
Easterlies are warm winds blowing from the Pacific Ocean.

(Light to moderate waves are expected in a large part of our country, but our compatriots who will sail must still be careful because we have offshore thunderstorm activity, these are the rains in our coastal seas.)
“Asahan natin ang bahagyang paglakas ng mga hangin kaakibat nito ang bahagyang pagtaas din ng ating mga alon,” he added.
(Let’s expect a slight strengthening of the winds along with a slight increase in our waves.)
