WATCH: Taiwanese news anchors report earthquake as studio violently shakes

Taiwan’s SETTV captured the moment the magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit on Wednesday morning as news anchors described strong shaking while trying to keep their balance.

The quake violently jolted eastern Taiwan’s Hualien at 07:58AM local time on Wednesday, causing several buildings to collapse.

According to the statistics of the Taiwan fire department, the earthquake has caused 9 deaths, 821 injuries and 127 people trapped.

The Central Weather Administration has recorded more than 300 aftershocks from Wednesday morning into Thursday.
