Quiboloy's two other co-accused surrenders in Davao City

MANILA, Philippines — Two more co-accused of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy surrendered to Davao City authorities on Thursday.

The Police Regional Office (PRO) 11’s Public Information Office chief Major Catherine Dela Rey told INQUIRER.net that Jackiely W. Roy and Ingrid C. Canada turned themselves in to police operatives and the National Bureau of Investigation office in Davao.

“Nag-surrender na po kanina sa Barangay Tamayong ang dalawa pang kasama ni Quiboloy na sina Jackielyn Roy and Ingrid Canada,” dela Rey said in a Viber message.

“Pino-process na po nila papers for their bail,” she added.

(They are already processing the papers for their bail.)

On Wednesday, dela Rey said the NBI and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group operatives served the arrest warrants against Quiboloy and five others in Barangay Tamayong.

Later, three of the accused, namely, Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, and Sylvia Camanes, surrendered to the authorities.

Shortly after they surrendered, the three were granted temporary freedom after a local court allowed them to post P80,000 bail each at around 5 p.m.

A Davao Regional Trial Court issued the arrest orders against Quiboloy and his subordinates as they are charged with violating Republic Act 7610 or the Anti-Child Abuse Law, specifically the provision on sexual abuse of minors and maltreatment.

In a press briefing held on Thursday, Philippine National Police spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo revealed that three sets of arrest warrants were served to the respondents: one order indicated a bail of P200,000 for Quiboloy and two others with a bail of P80,000 each for the KJC leader and the five individuals.
