MANILA, Philippines — Partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected nationwide on Thursday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Wednesday afternoon.
Pagasa weather specialist Veronica Torres, however, said that due to the effects of the ridge of the high pressure area, chances of rain are lower in the eastern parts of Luzon.
“Inaasahan natin dito sa bandang Cagayan Valley mas mababa ang tiyansa ng pag ulan,” said Torres.
(There is a slim chance of rain in Cagayan Valley.)
“Although dito sa Metro Manila at sa nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon, partly cloudy to cloudy skies at mga tiyansa pa rin ng localized thunderstorms ang inaasahan,” she added.
(In Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, partly cloudy to cloudy skies and chances of localized thunderstorms are still expected.)
Likewise, partly cloudy to cloudy skies are also forecast to prevail over the Visayas and Mindanao along with chances of rain due to localized thunderstorms.
No storm or low pressure areas are being monitored in and around the Philippine area of responsibility.
No gale warning is in effect over any of the country’s waters.
