LUCENA CITY— Two murder suspects were killed early Wednesday, April 3, in an alleged encounter with policemen in Sariaya town in Quezon province.

The Quezon police said in a report that pursuing operatives found their targets identified as alias “Bin Laden” and “Palos” in Barangay Antipolo at 1:15 a.m.

The two suspects allegedly fired at the cops who were forced to shoot back and subsequently killed the duo.

Earlier at 7:15 p.m., the two suspects and a certain “Soya” barged into the house of Michael Timajo, 20, in Barangay 8 in this city.

One of them repeatedly shot Timajo with a caliber .45 pistol. The report did not specify who among the three shot the victim.

The three fled after the shooting, but pursuing police was able to capture Soya.

He confessed to the cops that his two companions fled to Barangay Antipolo in the nearby town, which resulted in the encounter.

The police are investigating the motive behind the killing of Timajo.

Bin Laden was also the primary suspect in the killing of another man in Lucena City last month.

The police said Bin Laden had been accused and acquitted of illegal possession of firearms and illegal drugs based on his criminal records.
